Welcome to Barbados, the most easterly of the Caribbean islands, best known as the land of rum and sugar. The island of Barbados is rich with culture and heritage which you can experience through the warm smiles of the friendly locals, delicious cuisine, strong rum and rhythmic music. This little island is also a nature lovers paradise with cheeky green monkeys, gullies, caves and pristine white sand beaches.
We definitely reccommend guests travelling to the East Coast of the island, to see the dramatic coastline, and crashing waves straight from the Atlantic Ocean. While on island make sure you try the delicious local rum punch and freshly fried flying fish, two sure favourites among visitors. If you are looking to experience some culture and shopping head into historical Bridgetown, a UNESCO world heritage centre and the best place for duty free shopping! Another visitors' favorite in Barbados is snorkelling in Carlisle Bay, where you will find six shipwrecks covered in coral and abuzz with brightly coloured fish and sea turtles, definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
